One of these methods is the Markov chain. The Markov chain model is a special state of the models in which the current state of a system depends on its previous states. With this method, it is possible to calculate the probability of the occurrence andthe return period of climatic phenomena such as precipitation.Therefore, in the present research,using the 58 year daily precipitation data (1956 - 2013) ofShiraz synoptic station, the frequency and the continuity of rainy days in this city were studied by the use of the Markov chain model. The above statisticswere arranged based on the matrix of counting the changes of the occurrence states of the dry and wet days (days without precipitation and precipitation days), then, the situation change matrix was calculated based on the maximum likelihood estimation method. The matrix was evaluated and analyzed with repeated, constant power, and daily rainfall return period. Next, the return periods of 2 to 5 day rainfall days and the return period of1 day dry days, were also evaluated. Then,the return period of the continuation of 2 to 5 day precipitation days for twelve months of the year was calculated. The results showed that the probability of precipitation occurrence (wet days) per day was %0.1167 and the probability of no precipitation occurrence (drydays) was %0.8833. It was also determined that the most probable occurrence of rainy days was during the winter, especially in January and February. For example, the return period of 2 consecutive rainy days in January was estimated to be nearly 5 days. Therefore, it was observed that Shiraz precipitation has a heterogeneoustime distribution. In other words, precipitation is not uniform and concentrated in Shiraz.}, keywords = {Frequency and Continuity,Dry day,Precipitation day,Return period,Shiraz}, title_fa = {واکاوی احتمال تواتر و تداوم روزهای بارانی شهر شیراز با استفاده از مدل زنجیره مارکوف}, abstract_fa = {تحلیل های احتمالی، روش هایی مفید برای شناخت و پیش بینی پدیده ایی نظیر بارش می باشند. از جمله ی این روش ها می توان به زنجیره مارکوف اشاره کرد. زنجیره ی مارکوف حالت خاصی از مدل هایی است که در آنها حالت فعلی یک سیستم به حالت های قبلی آن بستگی دارد. با این روش می توان احتمال وقوع و دوره ی بازگشت پدیده های اقلیمی نظیر بارش را محاسبه نمود. از اینرو در پژوهش حاضر با استفاده از آمار بارش روزانه مربوط به 58 سالِ(2013-1956) ایستگاه همدیدی شیراز، تواتر و تداوم روزهای بارانی در این شهر با به کارگیری مدل زنجیره مارکوف مورد مطالعه قرار گرفت. آمار فوق براساس ماتریس شمارش تغییر حالات رخداد روزهای خشک و تر (روزهای فاقد بارش و روزهای بارش) مرتب شده، سپس ماتریس تغییر وضعیت براساس روش درست نمایی بیشینه محاسبه گردید. ماتریس مزبور نیز با توان های مکرر، پایا و دوره بازگشت روزانه بارش مورد ارزیابی و تحلیل قرار گرفت. در ادامه دوره های بازگشت روزهای بارش 2 تا 5 روز و دوره بازگشت روزهای خشک 1 روز نیز مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفت. سپس دوره بازگشت تداوم روزهای بارانی 2 تا 5 روزه برای دوازده ماه سال نیز محاسبه گردید. نتایج حاصل نشان داد که احتمال وقوع بارش(روزهای تر) در هر روز 1167/0 درصد و احتمال عدم وقوع بارش(روزهای خشک) 8833/0 درصد می باشد. همچنین مشخص شد که بیشترین احتمال وقوع روزهای با بارش، طی فصل زمستان بویژه ماه های ژانویه و فوریه بوده است. برای نمونه دوره بازگشت 2 روز بارانی متوالی در ماه ژانویه حدود 5 روز برآورد گردید. از این رو مشاهده گردید که بارش شیراز از توزیع زمانی ناهمگنی برخوردار است. به عبارت بهتر بارش شیراز یکنواخت نمی باشد و متمرکز است.   }, keywords_fa = {تواتر و تداوم,روز خشک,روز بارانی,دوره بازگشت,شیراز}, url = {https://www.sepehr.org/article_14009.html}, eprint = {https://www.sepehr.org/article_14009_1c1a6386667580b98da287fe8b21f42f.pdf} }
