Abstract
The centers in which most human activities and fumes from pollutants, cars, and … are accumulated and appear as nodes in urban environments, form thermal islands. The heat generated by these islands, in addition to increasing energy consumption due to cooling, causes pollution in the atmosphere, including production of ozone gas and increase of other harmful compounds of carbon and sulfur.
Considering the mentioned issues, the present study attempts to introduce and recognize the pollutants in the Ahwaz city environment, examine their effect on the creation of thermal islands and also explain and propose strategies for their prevention, such as specialization of urban planning, prevention of mass construction, etc.
