Abstract

The Khuzestan plain is considered by geologists to be a sub-unit of the Zagros complex, which is
far from the center of crisis, and is actually miles away from the shield of Arabia.
Regardless of the active dynamism of the wind, which plays a major role in the dynamics and mobility of the environment, other factors such as the Karun and the Karkheh rivers and their floods, temperature, tidal force and gentle slope are also among the elements considered to play a major role in landform structure and geomorphologic dynamisms of the area. Wind, in contrast to its performance in most places that is mainly physical, plays an erosive role in creation of geomorphological phenomena and has a chemical function in this part of the land of Iran.
