Abstract

Our Solar System
Our galaxy, the Milky Way, one of the millions of galaxies in the universe, is so vast and colossal that a missile thrown at a speed of 160,000 kilometers along its diameter will require 670 million years to reach from one side of it to the other, while in comparison it takes the same missile moving at the same speed only 4 years and 2 months to pass from our solar system and cover the distance between the sun and the
furthest planet associated with it, Pluto.
For centuries, man thought that the Earth was the center of creation, while the truth is much more marvelous. We live on a very small planet circling around a medium-sized star (the sun) and the star itself, along with thousands of millions of other stars in one of the millions of galaxies in the universe, is circulating in the infinite universe.
