The present article seeks to clarify the relation between economic function of women in villages and sustainable development of rural areas. Documentary research methods, questionnaires and monitoring were used. Principal component analysis (PCA) and a model derived from PSR model are the usual pattern in data classification and analysis. Statistical society consists of 8619 women in active ages in 564 villages of more than 15 household in Chahar Mahal va Bakhtiari. The volume of selected points and households are classified using probable sampling. Results indicate that economic function of rural women is under the influence of local-spatial structures and has a significant relation with factors like general skills and access or control of producing factors. Upgrading education level, holding different educational-promotional courses, providing necessary requirements to increase rural women access and control over producing resources and factors with solutions like cheap bank facilities, etc. are among solutions which is expected to increase economic functionality of rural women in the process of sustainable development.
Key words: sustainable development, economic function, rural women, rural points

Pavements and pedestrians as dynamic and static factors in urban space are considered inseparable parts of urban life in developed towns of the world.A great amount of time of citizens in various cities is devoted to walking as a refreshing activity. Overwhelming attention to the needs of drivers and negligence of preservation and management of pavements is regarded as dominant defect and weakness of towns.
In the two or three previous decades attention to movement of pedestrians and their requirements as a forgotten issue made a new view and intention in the field of town planning as a walking revolution.
According to the results of this research (case study of Shahr-e-Kord – melat street) that was achieved by distribution of questionnaires among 262 persons (statical selective society by the method of kookeran) we can see that:
Using of pavements for supplying of goods (loading and evacuation of goods) increasing the blocking phenomenon. Also, there is significant relationship between blocking of pavements and public dissatisfaction.

In recent years, various philosophical, political, social and economic schools have had a clear and profound influence on the geographic debate and have created new ideas. Radicalism is also one of these schools that was able to provide a deconstructive approach to solve as much as possible the problems that space had to deal with, and to eliminate many of the established trends in geography. It is within this approach that radical geographers consider geographic space to be a historical-socio-political category that has been inscribed in nature. But what is most apparent in this school is the exploitation of Marxist and socialist ideologies. This article seeks to answer the question whether the legitimacy of radicalism in geography is due to its opposition to the views and frameworks that shape the geographic space for the benefit of the owners of power and capital or merely a paradigm that challenges the space perspective. To reach this goal, the author has tried to collect and analyze the issues using the documentary research method and referring to library resources. By studying the foundations of radicalism and its different perspectives, it clarifies the extent to which this school has been influenced by other ideologies as well as its impact on geographic studies, and discusses the various spaces that the advocates of this school have introduced in geography.

The general purpose of this paper was to analyze some of the socio-economic barriers on the way of motivating the cooperation of farmers with the supervisors of the scheme of wheat self-sufficiency. The research is of applied type and through survey method, carried out by selecting a simple random sample of 100 farmers in the Ardal plain. The research tool was a questionnaire and the validity of the questionnaire was verified according to the collective view of the related professors and experts and its reliability was calculated using the Cronbach's alpha formula (a = 0.93). To investigate the hypotheses and to answer to the research questions, Spearman and Pearson correlation tests have been used. The insignificance of the relationship between the motivation of cooperation of the farmers with their age and their average monthly income, a positive and direct relation between motivation of cooperation with the level of education of farmers and their level of knowledge about the results of the implementation of the project, and, finally, direct but weak correlation between The motivation of cooperation with the average size of the land owned by each farmer.

Today, tourism as a clean industry in a modern and postmodern world is able to play an important and effective role in the sustainable development of human societies by creating employment and increasing national income.Based on this fact, the present article, while describing current situation, aims to present an estimate of the industry’s role in creating occupational opportunities and national income in the 2020 horizon through answering a number of questions by taking advantage of secondary studies and analyzing the latest official statistics provided by accredited national and international authorities. The results show that, despite the undeniable impacts of tourism on the above mentioned indicators, we unfortunately see a negative balance of trade in much of the time period studied due to the imbalance between the statistics of tourists entering and leaving the country. This imbalance might be compensated for only through a review of the current policies, the formulation and implementation of structural-functional strategies in this field.

Limitation of resources and spatial constraints in the territories of the country in general, and in urban areas in particular, along with the increase of human population, requires that the organization of the spatial system in human settlements (urban - rural) be carried out with a preparatory approach. Understanding and attempting to establish a reasonable balance in the urban network system is one of the effective strategies in organizing space and facilitating the process of achieving sustainable development. In this paper, using rank-size model, we examined and analyzed the spatial distribution and dispersion of the population and the dominant system of urban hierarchy in each of the cities of Shahrekord county (the studied area). The results show that of the total of 12 studied cities, Shahrekord city as the first city has 51.5% of the county’s population. After that, Farrokhshar, as the second city (small city) and then 10 other cities are among the very small cities. Providing guidelines for optimal and proportional distribution of the population and reducing inequality (gap) between the first city and other cities within the studied area are among the approaches addressed in this paper.

In general, the sustainable development of the city is due to the stable, constructive and systematic interaction of man with man (in various dimensions) and man with the environment (in the natural-ecological aspect).Interactions that, over time, make the city environmentally sustainable, economically durable, socially united and physically beautiful. Therefore, the present article aims to demonstrate the fact that the tourist (1) as a smart and human element and as an input of an urban system can have positive effects on the various spatial dimensions and can be a factor contributing to the sustainable development of the city. Furthermore, city and city managers, in mutual connection and in order to provide proper bases for the purpose of maximum enjoyment of the aforementioned advantages, inevitably provide the structures and infrastructures and define appropriate and proportionate functions in the city and its hinterland (2). - Creating an appropriate mentality among people, planners and managers about the role and importance of tourism (3) in sustainable urban development. - Formulating regulations and preparing conductive - comprehensive or structural - strategic plans for cities in accordance with leisure needs of citizens and the spirit of diverse experiences common among tourists. - Finally, ethical and practical commitment of urban managers to provision of financial resources and implementation of tourist projects proposed in approved urban plans and the formation of urban tourism units in municipalities. The triple levels suggested in this paper are proposed with the aim of transforming a perceptual environment (a belief) into a functional environment (objective truth), and with the goal of achieving sustainable development of the city from the perspective of tourism industry.

Undoubtedly, geography is one of the most applied sciences in today's world, yet it is still isolated and somewhat unknown in our country. The mentality and knowledge of the majority of people toward this science is limited to the definitions of purely descriptive nature related to the 17th Century and before. Many people do not even understand the most obvious and most basic definition of geography, while geography is associated with lives of people, is as old as human being, and in a sense is the knowledge of living. The term geography is, in the minds of many people in our country, mistakenly synonymous with the names of mountains, rivers, capitals, races, etc., and has been associated with a higher level of knowledge of climatic status. This is such that, once encountered with any person educated in the field, they seem to have encountered a massive database or encyclopedia that has a high capacity for storing names of natural and human habitations. Therefore, answering such questions is the scientific task and outcome of any graduate or student studying in the field.
According to the author, in the emergence and development of such a wrong attitude toward geography, not only the experts and specialists of this field are guilty of not providing public awareness, but also the media which, despite diverse programs including some shows of geographic nature concerning one of the branches of this discipline, nevertheless avoids speaking of such mistakes consciously or unknowingly. In this paper, it is attempted to briefly describe the historical developments in the definition and content of geography from beginning to the present day, and to clarify the importance and current status of applied geography in natural and human sciences by mentioning the various branches of the aforementioned fields in the European and American countries as well as in our country, Iran.

Space and spatial organization are among the topics that have entered the world's geographic literature since the 1950s.- Imbalance in urban and rural development and in distribution of their benefits;- A comprehensive view of various natural, economic, social and physical aspects in dealing with the problems of human societies;- Lack of ability of spatial structure and organization of geographic areas, especially in rural areas of the Third World and backward countries, to respond satisfactorily to contemporary issues and needs;- Acquiring reasonable scales in investment and economic-social planning;- Balanced distribution of population, services and activities with regard to actual and dormant potentials at homogeneous spatial levels; And ... can be considered as among the most important reasons for planners and geographers to show significant inclination toward studies with spatial dimensions. Without any doubt, with the passage of time and emergence of the daily increasing disappointments of polarization and central planning in achieving balanced development, the necessity of spatial integration, especially for rural areas of developing countries such as Iran, is ever more felt.
In this regard, the organization of spatial system of rural settlements was considered as one of the projects which, considering its especially comprehensive view of rural environment and zone-based attitude, if seriously addressed, would be able to pave the way for solving many issues in our country's rural areas. In this article, while exploring the concepts of space, rural space, spatial organization and structure, the background and objectives of spatial organization of rural settlements in Iran and its results have been discussed.
